01 Acceptance of Terms

By accessing this website, creating an account, joining our Discord server, or using the RecQuiem game client, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use RecQuiem.

02 Eligibility

RecQuiem is rated for a general audience and is intended for users aged 13 and up. If you are under the age of majority in your region, you may only use RecQuiem with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian. By creating an account, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you meet these requirements.

03 Accounts & Security

You're responsible for maintaining the security of your account. This means:

• Using a real email address you have access to and a password you don't reuse elsewhere.
• Not sharing your login credentials with anyone else.
• Telling us as soon as possible if you suspect your account has been compromised.
• One account per person — we may remove duplicate or automated accounts.

We store passwords using industry-standard hashing and never save them in plain text. See our sign-up flow for more on how account data is handled.

04 Community Conduct

To keep RecQuiem welcoming for everyone, you agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users.
• Post or share illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, or graphically violent content.
• Impersonate RecQuiem staff, other users, or any real person or organization.
• Attempt to hack, exploit, or disrupt the website, our servers, or other users' accounts.
• Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to create accounts, farm Likes/Favorites, or manipulate rankings.

Violating these rules may result in a warning, a temporary suspension, or a permanent ban at our discretion.

05 User-Generated Content

Rooms, invention listings, profile info, thumbnails, and anything else you upload or create ("User Content") remain yours, but by posting it on RecQuiem you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content on the website, in the game client, and in promotional material for RecQuiem.

You're responsible for what you upload. Don't post content you don't have the rights to, and don't post anything that violates the Community Conduct rules above. We may remove any content, at any time, that we believe breaks these Terms.

06 Qredits & Virtual Currency

Qredits are a virtual currency usable only within RecQuiem. They can be used to purchase in game cosmetics or bundles within the shop. This currency cannot be transferred between accounts for safety reasons and any form of duplication glitch will be wiped from the noted account if misused.

07 Purchases

Some features, such as the Starter Pack or Qredits bundles in the Shop, may be purchased with real money. All purchases are final and non-refundable except where required by law.

08 Intellectual Property

The RecQuiem name, logo, artwork, code, and other original assets on this website belong to RecQuiem Studios and may not be copied, redistributed, or used to promote another product or service without written permission. This does not apply to your own User Content, which remains subject to the license described in Section 5.

09 Termination & Suspension

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we believe you've violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or put the safety of the community at risk. You can also delete your own account at any time from your account settings. Some data may be retained after deletion where we're required to keep it, such as for fraud prevention or legal compliance.

10 Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

RecQuiem is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. As a project in active development, features may change, break, or be removed without notice, and downtime can happen. To the fullest extent permitted by law, RecquiemStudios is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the website or game.

11 Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as RecQuiem grows and new features are added. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continuing to use RecQuiem after changes are posted means you accept the revised Terms.
